Chelsea demand €35m for John Obi Mikel
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel lost his starting place to Nemanja Matic last season and he made only six league starts all season for the Blues. Mikel has been at the club since 2006, but he is longer a regular starter for Chelsea, having played only 700 minutes of football all season last term. He divides opinion among the fans , and there is a growing feeling that he could be sold in the summer. According to reports in Turkey, Fenerbahce, who have already signed Manchester United duo Nani and Robin van Persie, are looking to add Mikel to their ranks. However, they have to forfeit the chase, as the club cannot afford to meet Chelsea’s valuation of the player.
